Beech Creek Botanical Garden, Steffen Dairy Farm, Uhrichsville Water Park and the Akron Zoo are just a few of the places we adventure to each summer. As a prime community builder of southeast Canton, we are committed to continuing relationships that Lighthouse staff and children have built throughout the school year. In the summertime, we focus on taking field trips outside Canton, OH, enjoying the outdoors, and visiting places where children can learn new things and have a lot of fun. We have 13 spots per trip for students, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that priority is given to students living in the Lighthouse neighborhood (Belden, Hartford, and Patrick school neighborhoods)

To register your child for a field trip, please remember that you need to:

1. Fill out the general registration form which provides us with all of your child’s health and safety information and makes your child eligible to attend all of the field trips for the summer. 
2. Fill out a permission form for each of the field trips you want your child to attend. The Field trip program is built for flexibility, allowing you to sign your child up for the trips that fit your child’s interests and availability. The forms are made available in the Lighthouse Office two weeks before each field trip. Each trip is $5 and non-refundable.

Across all Lighthouse programming, spots are reserved first for children who live inside the Lighthouse neighborhood (Belden, Hartford, and Patrick school neighborhoods). If there are seats remaining available within seven days of a field trip, the spots will be opened up to students who live outside of the Lighthouse neighborhood.
