AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM

During the hours immediately following school, the Lighthouse offers a safe environment for children in grades 1-6. Creative and relational activities combine study and play in ways that enrich the heart and mind. Each day includes devotions, exercise, a snack, academic support and enrichment opportunities.

We strive to provide experiences that empower students for success in all aspects of life. The Lighthouse is a 5-star rated child-care program licensed through the state of Ohio.

With such a myriad of experiences rooted in the Lighthouse’s vision of helping students unpack their God-given giftedness, our aim is to empower children to succeed in and out of the classroom; to reach for a new future and to better use their gifts to be a blessing to the world around them.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

Complete the general registration form online and submit a deposit of $20 per child

  • Complete the Title 20 application to see if the state of Ohio will cover your child’s camp fees. The deposit is returned once the Title 20 application is submitted and the Lighthouse has received notification of acceptance or denial from ODJFS.
  • The monthly fee is $200 per child, which is removed if you qualify for Title 20 to cover fees. All parents who don’t qualify for Title 20 are then eligible to apply for an After-School Program Scholarship where they can submit the amount they feel they can afford for the program.
  • You can download the Parent Handbook here.

The Title 20 paperwork is required to secure your child’s spot in the program.

Please note that across all Lighthouse  programming, spots are reserved first for children who live inside the Lighthouse neighborhood (within 10 blocks of the Lighthouse). If spots remain open or unfilled, the Lighthouse will open spots up to to students and families who live outside of that 10-block radius. A more complete explanation of how this works will be emailed to you once your child is registered or you can reach out to Tasha McClain via the contact info given below with that or any other questions you may have.
