Favorite hobbies:
I love to read. I'm crazy about all things Notre Dame. Also, swimming, beekeeping and dreaming.

Tell us about your family.
I've been married to Ramona for 20 years! We have three beautiful children: Tori, Madi and Jacob. And our family wouldn't be complete without our four cats, including Pickles, the beloved Lighthouse cat.

Spaces, place and faces that are life-giving to you:
The congregation at First Mennonite Church, talking about life and theology and any/all conversations with Joel Daniel Harris and Joe Troyer.

What I like most about working with children:
I love to watch children learn new things, explore who they are and become something new.

Person who has impacted your life:
Author Greg Boyd's articulation of the Kingdom of God has passionately reconnected me with my Anabaptist roots.

Little known fact about myself:
I am terrified of sharks. Also, I lived in Chile for three months.

Favorite coffee drink?
Vanilla Cloud at Muggswigz Coffee & Tea Co.

Where are you from?
I grew up in Hartville, Ohio (about 25 minutes from Canton).

Favorite hobbies:
I love to read, travel and spend time working in the Lighthouse garden. The Lighthouse kids and I love cooking together. Some favorites include tacos and fresh salsa or soups during the cold months. I spend as much time as possible with my Grandmother. She is the funniest, kindest and most caring person I know.

Spaces, places and faces that are life-giving to you:
Hiking and splashing in the river at Brandywine Falls, Rose and Darin (LH Staff) and conversations with the Nettis, the Kamwesas and the Scotts.

Words to live by:
"We're all just walking each other home." --Ram Dass, Be Here Now

Person who has impacted your life:
Shauna Niequist, Anne Lamott, Ann Voskamp and my Grandpa - for the ways they see the Kingdom of God in the every day, ordinary.

Favorite book and coffee drink:
Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom and an Iced Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks.

Best thing about Canton?
The unique city-and-small-town feel.  I love that I can know so many people and have great interactions with strangers but also enjoy the vibe of a vibrant city.

On my bucket list:
Visit each continent, drive across the country, work as a graphic designer (heyooo), travel somewhere by boat, spend a month in the solitude of Walden.

Favorite book, song, and coffee drink:
Walking on Water by Madeleine L'Engle
"Michigan" by Milk Carton Kids
Dirty Chai (with two shots) from Carpe Diem

Words to live by:
Try new things.
